The Road to Self-Discovery

The road to self-discovery is the most significant road that one will take in life. We were all created for a design purpose, and finding that purpose is detrimental to fulfillment.
As a child, my dad told all of his children that we had to work or go to school. I decided to go to school; however, I often found myself working and going to school constantly, but I did what I was told. I completed college and obtained a bachelor’s degree, but I was still feeling incomplete. I asked my heavenly Father what my purpose is, and he responded by saying, when you learn of my purpose, I will begin to show you your purpose. I started doing as I was instructed, and God kept his word and began to show me my purpose.
Matthew 16:15-17; He saith unto them, But who say ye that I am? [16] And Simon Peter answered and said, Thou art the Christ, the Son of the living God. [17] And Jesus answered and said unto him, Blessed art thou, Simon Barjona: for flesh and blood hath not revealed it unto thee, but my Father which is in heaven. [18] And I also say unto thee, That thou art Peter, and upon this rock, I will build my church; and the gates of hell shall not prevail against it.
Once Peter discovered and announced who Jesus was, it was then that Jesus told Peter who he was.
It is so important to know who you are.
Once you know who you are, you also know who you are not. You don’t wait for labels to be attached to you because you know your identity. You don’t wait for the world to shape you; instead, you shape it. You don’t wait to be called on stage because you realize that you are a walking platform. You don’t wait for a path to be created; instead, you make the path.
When God shows you who you are, believe it. Believe in yourself even if no one else does. You were created for such a time as this. You were created for a purpose, and if you are having trouble discovering yourself begin to pray and seek God for your answers. There are so many people that are waiting for you to accept the gift that God has implanted within you. Your acceptance matters to so many others, and it should matter to you most importantly.
My friend, you have everything within you to succeed.
