It's time to Fill Up

Updated: Jul 28, 2022

Are you running on empty?

Are you filling incomplete?

I remember in 2007, a feeling of incompleteness after graduating nursing school and living in a very prominent city in my very own place. I felt like I finally made it for the first time in my life, but there was an absence that I was feeling, and I recall a still voice saying, try Me.

Looking all around because I was home alone and the voice said again, “try Me.” I decided to follow the voice, and I decided to give my Heavenly Father a chance.

After all, we give people chances, jobs chances, and sometimes our enemies chances, so why not God.

I followed His voice, expecting nothing but what I received was something that I have never gotten anywhere else. The fulfillment that I desperately sought filled every void in my life, and my life hasn’t been the same.

I would like to encourage someone to follow that still voice, that voice that’s calling you to your Father. I promise you will not be disappointed.

As you mature, you know that life comes with complications and tribulations; however, it makes those things a little easier to bear when you walk with God. God doesn’t want us to serve him because of His promises, but He wants us to wholeheartedly serve him for who He is, and when we do, He provides us with benefits.

Just as employment, you may be attracted to a job because of the benefits package, but you will never get the benefits unless you work and perform the task at hand. If you are seeking certain benefits, then you must do a certain amount of work.

As the Bible teaches us that Faith without works is dead (James 2:14); therefore, we must put in work. God loves you, and He is calling you just as you are. He is not looking for your perfection as a start but He is looking for your yes.

He is calling you just as you are. I’m not sure about your past, but don’t allow past mistakes to stop you from getting what God has promised. He said in his word, And what I say unto you, I say unto all (Mark 13:37). The promise wasn’t just for your forefathers, but they are for you also and your children, and their children, and their children, etc.

God is waiting for you to say YES:

Say YES today, my friend, commit your ways unto the Lord, and He will direct your path.

If you seek a community to help you transition, go to Grace in Exodus (a Facebook group) where there are like-minded people available to help and assist you on this journey.

I can’t wait to see you there!

I can’t wait for you to say YES to God!
