Birthing Your Purpose

Often you may feel that there is more to life than what you are currently doing. I have had individuals say to me, how do I know if I am doing what I am called to do, and I respond with this question, do you feel like there is more for you to do?

If the answer is yes, then I advise people to do a self-inventory, pray, and seek God for confirmation. As you notice, I said to seek God. Only God knows the purpose for which you were created. God created you for a reason, and to find out that reason, you must go to the person that made you, and that person, my dear, is God.

Galatians 1:15-17 (KJV)

But when it pleased God, who separated me from my mother's womb and called me by his grace, (16) To reveal his Son in me, that I might preach him among the heathen; immediately I conferred not with flesh and blood: (17) Neither went I up to Jerusalem to them which were apostles before me; but I went into Arabia, and returned again unto Damascus.

Sometimes we confer with too many individuals about what God has called us to do and become distracted by other people's words. Instead of just taking God at his command and following his voice. God often uses other people to confirm his words, but one must always be sure that it is the Lord who using that individual and not the perpetrator. The thief comes to steal, kill, and destroy, but God has come that we might have life and have it more abundantly. So, learn and search the scriptures to ensure that you are entertaining the right spirit. Ask God to show you your purpose and obey his voice when he does.
